Dawn Pedersen began her web and graphic design career in 2000. With two or three web design projects, a basic knowledge of HTML, and a fine art degree under her belt, she was hired by a software company in the Silicon Valley as a junior web designer. Primarily self-taught in digital art and design, she has gone on to create a large portfolio of design work for clients from Australia to Georgia to New York City.
Dawn has been teaching art and design classes since 2005. She currently teaches at three colleges in Sacramento, California: American River College, Art Institute, and the International Academy of Design and Technology. In the past, she has taught at Sacramento City College, Esparto High School, and Natomas High School.
Dawn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from California State University, Sacramento in 1998. She acquired a California teaching credential in art (as well as in technology and biology) through Chapman University in 2007, and a Master of Arts in Education from the same institution in 2009.
